DataFog is an open-source DevSecOps platform that allows developers to scan, redact, and manage PII in documents shared with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) Systems and other AI/ML applications. We are a team of developers, security experts, and privacy advocates who are passionate about making AI safer and more secure for everyone. We believe that privacy and security are fundamental human rights, and we are committed to building tools that help developers use AI safely and responsibly.

Founder & CEO
Sid founded DataFog in June 2023 after realizing the backdoor privacy and security issues that came with using RAG applications, both from speaking with users, CISOs, and firsthand experiences. He is a self-avowed glutton for punishment, having started DataFog two months after the birth of his first child and forcing himself to learn the programming concepts to build the DataFog platform, which is now being used and downloaded by thousands of developers worldwide. He is a graduate of the UCLA Anderson School of Management and Washington University in St. Louis.
